Happy New Year, crafty friends! Hope your holidays were amazing. I’m so glad you’re back for another card tutorial with me. Today I’m going to showcase how I made a Valentine’s Day card using SSS Bohemian Lace background stamp. I used this stamp before for a birthday card and it was a hit with my best friend. So I decided to use it again. I love background stamps for the reason that you can make it the focal point of your card or use it as texture. I chose to use it as the focal point this time. So lets get started!

I wanted this card to POP, so I decided to use SSS Smoke Gray cardstock. It was a bit too light so I grabbed my Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke to make it a little darker. Once I did that, I let the cardstock dry so I can add some white embossing powder once I used my anti static tool and heat set it.

I added some Berry Mix Pearl embellishments because I wanted something to POP against the gray background. I finished it off with a sentiment from SSS Really Like You stamp set. I used their Lipstick Red cardstock since its my FAVORITE red cardstock out there. It POP’S when you use it in any project.

That’s it! Another unique card for your special someone. Thank you so so much for coming back. I hope to see you next time! The supplies I used to make this card, and where I purchased them are listed below! Just click on the image.
