Fab Foil Happy Birthday
Hello hello crafty friends. Thanks for coming back for another tutorial. Today I will be sharing how I made this fabulous birthday card with golf foiling. DISCLAIMER: This is my first time doing this technique using WOW’s bonding powder. I will admit that I was afraid that I was doing it wrong because how easy it was. I’m telling you. Just as easy as embossing your project with one additional step..which it really small…run it through your minc or laminator. Anyway, let’s get started.
I started by inking up my SSS Pretty Peonies background stamp with embossing ink. Then I used WOW Bonding Powder. This is what’s going to make the foil stick. Shake off any excess powder and heat set it.
Once you heat set, grab your foil (I used WOW Fab Foil Bright Gold) over my embossed image pretty side up. Then put your card inside the folder that comes with your Minc or you can use parchment paper. Run it through your Minc or Laminator.
When it was time for me to die cut my Happy cut in foil, I rubbed some embossing ink on some cardstock. Added my bonding powder again and heat set it. Put a piece of gold foil (pretty side up) and run it through your machine. Then I die cut my SSS Happy die cut in the foil. I finished it off with a “birthday” stamp and a few embellishments.
That’s it! How easy was that? I love how it came out for my first time doing this technique. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope to see you next time. The products I used for this card and where I purchased them are listed below. All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping 🙂
