Hello hello! Thank you for stopping by. Today I will be showing you how I made this super duper simple Easter egg card. Clean and simple. Sometimes that’s all you need. No muss no fuss. Let’s get started.

First, I used SSS Wavy Egg die cut and placed it right in the middle of my A2 card. I’m going to trim it down to 3.25″ squared. I used Neenah Solar White #120 cardstock because I plan on attaching my distress color underneath (like I did with my bunny card) I put my trimmed down panel aside.

I grabbed a piece of cardstock (big enough to attached to the back of the cut out and I used Worn Lipstick and Dried Marigold oxide inks. Starting with Worn Lipstick I started to blend the bottom of the paper and moved up. Try to use a lighter touch as you go up the card. It makes blending that much easier. Once I was done blending, I used Nuvo Glimmer Paste -Moonstone and applied a light coat. Make sure you get enough paste so you don’t dip your knife back inside the jar potentially putting some ink back in. Once I was done with the paste, I put it aside at let it dry….approx 30 mins. Make sure you clean your knife off right away.

Make sure your paste is dried before you are ready to assemble. Trim down your card base to 4″ squared. Add some glue to the back of your cut out and add it to the distressed panel. Use some foam adhesive to the back of that and add it to your card base. I used SSS Tiny Words Faith and chose a sentiment from the set. I heat set it in white and finished it off with a few embellishments. (optional)

That’s it! Super duper simple card just in time for Easter! Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you were able to find some inspiration from the tutorial. The products I used to make this card and where I purchased them are listed below. All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping. Hope to see you next time 🙂
