Hello hello crafty friends! Thanks for stopping by for another tutorial. Today I’m sharing with you how I made a fun card using Hero Arts My Monthly Hero April 2019 Card Kit. It’s got such an Venetian vibe to it. So many options you have with this card kit. Let’s get started with this one.

I started by die cutting all my pieces I was going to use for my card in SSS Fog Gray cardstock. To create the moon shining on the building, I used Black Soot Oxide ink and lightened it as I got towards the front part of the buildings.

To further the look I wanted with the moon light, I used SSS Silver glitter paper for the water.

Ink blending time! I LOVE these colors together. I used my distress inks this time on this card. DISCLOSURE: It was a little while since I used my distress inks so I messed up a few times…but I quickly got my groove back. I started with my Chipped Sapphire…then I added Peacock Feathers….making sure I got a good blend. Luckily for me, my ink blending tools where saturated and made blending easier. Finally, I used Cracked Pistachio. (love that color too) make sure your blending is what you want.

I assembled everything together and used white embossing on my sentiment and heat set it. I added “stars” using white ink and water to finish off my card. That’s it! Pretty cool, huh?!?
