Hello hello crafty friends. Thanks for coming back to another tutorial. Today I will be showcasing how I made this unique card made with SSS, WoW Embossing Powder and Distress Oxide Ink products. This is the first time I’m using my brown oxide inks. I’ve always felt intimidated using them, because my silly brain thought I would be limited on things to pair them with. BOY WAS I WRONG! So let’s get started on this really fun card.

I grabbed some white cardstock..usual size 4.25×5.50 and started with my darkest distress ink color. I used Gathered Twigs on the bottom (or top) I blended it until the ink got lighter. Then I used Brushed Corduroy and used the same technique. I finally used Scattered Straw and blended. I went back to make sure the blend with good. And I set it aside for a few mins to dry. You can use your heat setting tool to speed up the drying process but this time I had laundry to change out of the dryer (LOL)

Once my panel was dried, I used my anti static tool on it and inked up my SSS Elizabeth Background stamp with embossing ink. Once I got a great impression, I used my WOW Embossing Powder in Gold Rich Pale…and heat set it.

I used Vintage Photo on a scrap piece of paper so that I can use that when I cut out my SSS Big Friend Shadow die cut.

I trimmed down my panel on all sides just to clean it up from darkened areas or missed embossed areas.

Finishing off my card, I adhered it to an A2 size card base (in black) That’s it. Great looking card, huh? I hope I was able to inspire you to try this design out. I cannot wait to see it. The products I used for this card and where I purchased them are listed below. All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping! Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see you next time!
