This Too Shall Pass

Hello hello crafty friends. Thanks for coming back to another tutorial. Today I’ll be sharing how I made this card to brighten someones day. Adding sparkle and glitter in my opinion can make someone smile and this card has plenty of each…so let’s get started!

I started with an A2 size panel. I like to use that size when I used distress inks or background stamps or even stencils. That way I can clean it up if need be. I adhered my stencil to my cardstock with washi tape.

I wanted to have the center of my card subtle, so I used Spun Sugar distress oxide ink. From there I used Shaded Lilac and then Seedless Preserves. I went back and forth to make sure the blend is to my liking.

Before I removed my stencil, I added some Nuvo Glimmer paste. It’s currently out of stock but keep checking back. Simon replenishes their stock frequently.

I carefully removed my stencil. (make sure you clean it off right away as the glimmer paste isn’t fun when it dries) I put it to the side to let it dry.

The sentiment I chose was from CZ Design You Got This stamp and die set. I used Seedless Preserves on the sentiment and cut it out. I added some foam adhesive tape to the back.

Once my panel was dried, I trimmed it down and adhered it to my card base. I finished my card off with Little Lucy Raspberry Jewels Mix.

That’s it! A happy card to make someone smile. Thanks for stopping by. The products I used to make this card and where I purchased them are listed below. All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping. I’ll see you next time.
