SSS Beautiful Flowers Stamp

Hello hello crafty friends. Thanks for coming back to another tutorial. Today I will be sharing how I made this really fun card using disress inks, water and a paper towel. So lets get started.

First I wanted to use the entire length of this stamp because I knew with this technique, it would really show how cool it is. So I stamped SSS Beatiful Flowers stamp in embossing ink. (make sure you treat your card panel (which is longer than an A2 size) with your anti static tool before you stamp your image) I stamped my image on my cardstock and I used SSS White embossing powder and heat set it.

Then I began with my ink blending. Nothing different. I started with Chipped Sapphire then I used Seedless Preserve. Then Dried Marigold, Scattered Straw and finally Antique Linen. Go back and forth to your desired blend.

Once I finished blending, I grabbed a clean watercolor brush and some clean water and began coloring the image with the water. Once I applied the water to my image (in sections) I dabbed it with a clean paper towel.

When I finished coloring and dried it a bit with my heat tool, I went back in and used my copic C2-C8 to try and create some shadowing. This is where I messed up. I had used C7 in the lightest area of my card and it looked a hot mess. So, that is why you don’t see a full floral image. I trimmed off that section. So make sure you pay attention where you apply your shadows (LOL)

When I was done with the shadows, I grabbed SSS Stronger Together stamp set and used the sentiments in the set. I used white ink.

My card base is an A7 (i think) so I made sure my panel was trimmed down enough to all for the clean edges I like. I added my sentiments and finished my card off with Little Lucy’s Mermaid Jewels Mix and I sprinkled a little water on my panel to activate the ink. (dabbed with a paper towel)

That’s it! It looks hard but I tell you it is sooooo easy and really fun. Thanks for stopping by. The products I used in this card and where I purchased them are listed below. All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping. See you next time.

xoxo
