SSS Tumbling Leaves Stencil/Hey Mama
Hello hello crafty friends. Thanks for coming back to another tutorial. Today I’m channeling my inner Laura Bassen (@laurafadora on IG) and made this rainbow Mother’s Day card. Let’s get started!
I began my card with an A2 size panel using SSS Ultra Thick 120lb white cardstock and attached my SSS Tumbling Leaves Stencil to it. Once I attached my stencil in the right place, I started with Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and finally Wilted Violet distress inks.
When I was done with my ink blending, I opened up and scooped out some Ranger Texture Transparent Gloss Paste. I do that because I don’t want any to get back into the jar of paste once I spread it over my stencil. I made sure the paste was evenly distributed over my stencil. Once that was done, I sprinkled some Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy Glitter. (this is my new fav!) I removed my stencil, shook off the loose glitter and put it to dry. Make sure you wash your stencil completely. I use a little warm water and it comes right off.
While I let my panel dry, I cut out CZ Design Hey Mama die cut. I used Simon white cardstock and cut out the “hey mama” 3 times each for dimension. Then I cut out the shadow using black cardstock just once.
Once my panel was dried, I trimmed it down so that I can have that nice edge I love on my cards. I adhered my die sentiment and chose another sentiment from SSS Mom Days Sentiment strips. I added some foam tape to the back and added it under my die cut. I adhered it to an A2 size card base using SSS Fog cardstock. I finished off my card with some embellishments from Little Lucy.
That’s it! A fun, bright Mother’s Day card that will put a smile on “Mom’s” face. Thanks for stopping by. The products I used and where I purchased them are listed below. All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping. See you next time!
xoxo
Beautiful card!
