Hello hello crafty friends. It’s time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week it is all about Midsummer Blues. We are featuring products by Memory Box. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you do, we would love to see you use them.  Challenge deets are over at SimonSaysStampBlog.com or you can click the image above.  So let’s get started with the project I sharing with you today!

First, I trimmed down an A2 size panel of Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock. Treated it with my anti static tool and prepped it for heat embossing. I inked up SSS Waves background stamp with VersaMark embossing ink. Then I used SSS Steel Navy embossing powder all over my panel and shook it off on my scratch paper. I added the powder back onto the jar, grabbed my heat tool and heat set it.

Once the heat embossing was done, I grabbed my distress inks. I started blending Chipped Sapphire, then I blended Peacock Feathers and finally Tumbled Glass. I went back forth making sure everything is blended perfectly. Then I got my SSS Vacation Time stamp set and used the Wish You Were Here sentiment in it. I attached it to my Misti, lined it up to where I wanted it to be inked it up with my VersaFine Onyx Black in and stamped it on my panel.

I put my trimmed down panel aside and stamped out and colored my gnome. I used SSS Chillin Gnomes stamp and coordinating die set and I stamped out the gnome and mushroom in VeraFine Onyx Black ink. I stamped it on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock.

I colored my gnome using the following Copic Markers: R59, R46 and R27 for his shorts. Hat: B29, B23 and B21. The beach ball I used BG49, BG13 and BG11. His sunglasses: C7, C5 and C3. Skin color: E11 and E00. Mushroom: R29, R35 and R32. Stem: E15, E13 and E11.

When I was done coloring, I got the coordinating dies and for my stamps and ran it through my die cutting machine.

Assembly time: I got my trimmed down panel and adhered some fun foam to the back and attached it to my Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I used some Gina K Connect glue and glued my mushroom in place. I put some fun foam on the back of my gnome and adhered it. I used Ranger Glossy Accent on my gnomes glasses and mushroom and card to finish my project off.

That’s it! Super fun and easy, right!?! Thank you for stopping by. The products I used for this project and where I purchased them are listed below. For no extra cost to you, I would be compensated for the products I used in this blog (links below)

Now it’s your turn….can’t wait to see what you create…GOOD Luck!
