SSS Wednesday Challenge – Hero Arts: Something New
Hello hello crafty friends. It’s time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week is Something New. We are featuring products by Heart Arts. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you do, we would love to see you use them. Challenge deets are over at SimonSaysStampBlog.com. I began my card by stamping out my image from Hero Arts Crating Tools Bold Background stamp on some Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock using SSS Clear embossing ink. (I treated my panel with my anti static bag) I used Simon’s clear embossing powder and heat set it with my heat setting tool.
I used my distress oxide inks on my panel. The colors I used are: Picked Raspberry, Cracked Pistachio, Shaded Lilac, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Broken China. I inked blended my panel using my ink blending tool adding the colors in a ROYGBV order.
Once I was done blending, I trimmed my A2 size panel down to have a really nice border. Then I die cut SSS Detail Floral Heart and used some foam adhesive to adhere it to the middle of my panel. I cut out Hero Arts Love stamp and die cut in Simon black cardstock. I used some Gina K Connect glue to adhere it on top of my heart. I used the other sentiment on black with white embossing powder.
I used an A2 size card base (Neenah Desert Storm cardstock) and assembled my panel on top of that. I finished off my card with some clear embellishments from Studio Katia. That’s it. Easy, right!?!?
