Hello hello crafty friends. It’s time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week is Make your own background. We are featuring products by Brutus Monroe. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you do, we would love to see you use them.  Challenge deets are over at SimonSaysStampBlog.com. Let’s begin on how I made this card.

I started my project with an A2 size panel of Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock.  I prep’d it for heat embossing..used my anti static tool and inked up my CZ Design Deco Square background stamp using my VersaMark ink.  Then I stamped my image in a slant.  Once it was nice and stamped, I used Brutus Monroe Alabaster Ultra Fine embossing powder.  Then I heat set it.

Starting at the bottom, I used Chipped Sapphire, Broken China and Iced Spruce oxide inks.  I went back and forth and made sure it was nice and blended.

Once it was fully blended, I trimmed down my panel and used some foam adhesive and adhered it to my A2 size card base using the same cardstock.  I used SSS You are simply the best die cut and i cut it using white  and cut the shadow in black cardstock.  I adhered it on my panel.  I then added some leaves from SSS Circle Leaves die and finished off my card with some embellishments.

That’s it.  Easy, right!?!? The products I used for this card and where I purchased them are listed below. At no extra charge to you for using the list, you can click on them and go shopping. Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you next time and good luck!
