SSS Hello Beautiful Blog Hop: Day 1
Hello hello crafty friends and welcome back to another tutorial. I’m extremely excited to be apart of Day 1 of Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop for their Hello Beautiful Release. Begin your project with cutting out approx 12 CZ Designs Carrot die using Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock. Make sure 3 of the 12 you run through your die cutting machine doesn’t fully cut out. You will use this group as base for your carrots.
Grab your carrots and stems and ink blending Carved Pumpkin distress ink for the carrots and Mowed Lawn for the stems. Start with the outer edges with a heavier hand and lighten it up as you work your way to the center. I also added some copic markers to create definition to the carrots. Glue your carrots and stems to your base when you’re finished ink blending.
I thought it would be fun using CZ Designs Ampersand stamp and die set for the sentiments, so I used my Misti and stamp the words on 80lb cardstock as well. I used SSS Intense Black ink for that. Stamp the “We’re Like” on some black cardstock using VersaMark ink (after you treat it with your anti static tool), sprinkle white embossing powder and heat set it with your heat tool. Run all of your words with the coordinating dies through your die cutting machine.
Trim some Sunny Studio Subtle Grey Tones patterned paper as your panel. Add some foam tape to the back and adhere it to an A2 size card base using Neenah Desert Storm 100lb cardstock. Add your carrots to your panel and use some foam tape for the 2 outer carrots. Glue one carrot in the middle and attach the other carrots on each side of the middle carrot. Glue the peas, carrots on your panel and use foam tape for the ampersand. Add your other sentiment in the middle of your bunch of carrots. Finish off your card with some dew drop embellishments.

Those carrots are beautifully colored. When I saw the sentiment I immediately thought of the PBS kids show “Super Why”. Princess Pea always said “Peas and Carrots, Carrots and Peas. Book come out Please, Please, Please, Please.” LOL. Great card.
