SSS Rainbows Release Blog Hop – Day 1
Hello hello crafty friends and welcome back to another tutorial. I’m extremely excited to be apart of Day 1 of Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop for their Rainbows Release. My first card I started with an slimline card size card panel using Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock. I lightly ink blended some Salty Ocean distress ink over my card panel. Switch between the different styles of clouds.
Run you Slimine Congratulations die through your die cutting machine using Neenah 110lb cardstock. I did that 4 times for dimension. I ink blended one of the words with distress ink in rainbow order. I used my ink blending tools. When I was done, I glued all 4 words on top of each other.
I also ran SSS Flickering Butterflies die through my die cutting machine and I used various Simon’s cardstock in rainbow colors.
I glued my Congratulations die on my card panel and arranged my butterflies around the word. Cut out the reverse black sentiment and using some foam tape and adhered it under my word die cut. Glued my panel on a Slimline card base using black cardstock and finished off my card with some embellishments. That’s card #1
My second card I started by getting a Mini Slimline card panel using Neenah 110lb cardstock. I sprayed some Pixie Spray to the back of my SSS Slimline Waves stencil and adhered it to my card panel.
I ink blended the lower portion with Vintage Photo over the stencil. Used a lighter hand as I went up my panel. Then I used Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch. Go back and forth so you can get a good blend. Remove the stencil and clean it off.
Stamp SSS Beach Beauties image on some 80lb cardstock using SSS Intense Black ink. I used my copics in the following colors: Girl – E25, E23, E13, E11 Bathing Suit: B06, B04 and B01 Headband: Y08, Y04, Y02 Towel: V09, V06, B18, B26, BG 15, BG13, BG10. Umbrella: (same colors as headband, towel and towel) G14, G09, YR09, YR04, RV14, RV13, RV11
Cut out your images using the coordinating dies. Assemble your pieces on your panel using foam tape and stamp the sentiment from the stamp set on black cardstock with some white embossing powder. Adhere your panel on a Mini Slimline card base. No embellishments needed.
