SSS July 2021 Card Kit – Garden Greetings
Hello hello crafty friends. Thanks for stopping by. Today I will be sharing how I made these fun lovely cards using SSS July Card Kit. So let’s begin.
Card 1 – I started with an A2 size panel using Neenah Solar white 80 lbs cardstock. I got the Blossom Field embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine (on the tab that use you for embossing folders)
I colors the flowers and leaves with the following colors: B69, B66, B63 and B60. The leaves are: YG67, YG17 and YG03. The tiny flowers I used: V17 and V15. When I finished coloring, I trimmed down the edges to I can get a nice border.
I ran the Hugs die that came inside the kit using Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock and the shadow using SSS Black cardstock.
I adhered my panel on top of a A2 size card base using some foam tape. I attached my Hugs sentiment in the middle of the card and with glue. I finished off my card using some clear drop embellishments. That’s card #1.
Card 2 – I used the pattern paper that came inside the card kit and trimmed it down. I got my Gold Metallic marker and added some around the edges of the panel.
I cut out a sentiment that’s in the pattern paper and adhered it to my panel using foam tape. I got some glue and applied some to my panel and attached it to an A2 size card base using SSS Black cardstock. Finished this card off with some embellishments from Simon.
Card 3 – I used an A2 size card panel using Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock. Treated it with my anti static tool. Using my Misti, I inked up my stamp that came with the kit. I used some VersaMark ink and used clear embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool.
I used Seedless Preserve, Abandon Coral and Tattered Rose oxide inks and inked blended my panel.
When I was done ink blending, I trimmed down my panel and used one of the sentiments on the pattern paper. I adhered my panel on an A2 size card base using SSS Black cardstock. Attached my sentiment using foam tape and finished off my card with some embellishments.

Sidnie, I searched you out after seeing your beautiful card on SSS, under the Blossom Fields embossing folder. I am fairly newbie to this, and wondered how you got the color on the embossed images. Thanks so much for listing your colors, and going into such detail. I haven’t got Copics, but Ohuhu (because it’s fun to say), but your colors are close to what I have. I am telling you now, I will be copying this, somewhat (sincerest form of flattery, right?) thanks for the wonderful inspiration!!!
Hi Laura! All I did was trace the raised parts of the image. I used the lighter color just in case I went out of the lines 😂😂 and I’m so so glad you like it. It’s fun to color or even add inks directly to the folder. I’d love to see what you come up with when you play with your folder 🤗🤗🤗🤗
