Tim Holtz New July 2021 Prize Ribbon Distress Ink

Hello hello crafty friends.  Welcome back to another tutorial.  Today is launch day for Tim Holtz’s latest distress color.  He had me at ALL SHADES OF BLUE.  And this color is right up my alley.  Prize Ribbon is soo delicious and when paired with other shades of blue….the magic happens.  So lets get started on the 2 cards I made using this new shade.

Card #1 SSS Waves Builder – I started with an A2 size card panel using Neenah solar white 110 lbs cardstock. I separated each wave and inked them up in the following colors:  Bottom color – Prize Ribbon.  Then I used Broken China.  Salvaged Patina then Speckled Egg.  I separated each stamp and moved them closer together so that there wouldn’t be a bigger gap in between each wave.  Make sure you stamp your image a few times but remember it will look better as the ink dries.

I ran my SSS Anchor through my die cutting machine using SSS Holographic cardstock.  I did this 5 times for dimension.  Once I got them all cut out, I glued them all together.

I trimmed down my panel so to clean up the edges of the card.  I adhered it using an A2 size card base of SSS Audrey Blue cardstock.  I used foam tape on the back of my panel and attached it.  I glued my anchor onto my panel and used some foam tape on the ends of my sentiment and adhered that on top the anchor.  I finished off my card with some embellishments.

Card #2 Thank You.  I started off with an A2 size panel using Neenah solar white 110lb cardstock.  I placed my panel in my Misti stamping tool and treated it with my anti static tool.  Ink up your SSS Stripe Jumble stamp with some embossing ink and stamp the image on your panel.  Shake some SSS Clear embossing powder on your panel..remove the excess and heat set your image with your heat setting tool.

Apply Prize Ribbon distress ink to the outer edges of your plan using your ink blending tool.  As you get towards the center, use a lighter hand.  You don’t want to cover the panel entirely with that color.  Switch to Tumbled Glass in the middle and just blend your colors together until its nicely blended.

Run the CZ Swoopy Thank You die through your die cutting machine using SSS Black cardstock (the shadow part of the die) then run the sentiment through using SSS 130lb white cardstock.  Glue the words on top of the shadow.

Trim down your panel and adhere it to your A2 size card base using SSS Slate cardstock..with foam tape.  Attach the sentiment to the middle of your panel with some glue and finish off your card with some embellishments.
