SSS Wednesday Challenge: Funny/Punny – Riley & Co.
Hello hello crafty friends. It’s time for a new Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week is Funny/Punny. We are featuring products by Riley & CO.. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you do we would love to see you use them. Challenge deets are over at SimonSaysStampBlog.com. Let’s begin on how I made this card.
I started with a Slimline size card panel using Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock. Spray some Pixie Spray on the back of SSS Bitty Florals stencil and attach it to your panel. I used the following the distress oxide inks: Seedless Preserve, Milled Lavender and Spun Sugar. I used my SSS ink blender brushes and went from darkest to lightest. Use a semi heavy hand when you apply the ink. Once the ink is applied, remove the stencil, clean it off and then apply the some more ink but use a lighter hand.
Run the SSS Simple Stem die cut through your die cutting machine using SSS Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock. I did that two times.
Get some SSS Black cardstock and treat it for embossing. Ink up your Riley & Co. stamp with some Versa Mark ink and stamp the image on the cardstock. Sprinkle some SSS White embossing powder and heat set it with your heat tool. Run that through your die cutting machine as well using SSS Stitched rectangle frame.
Assemble your card on some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Add some foam tape to the back of your sentiment and adhere it to your panel. Finish off your card with some embellishments.
