Thanks A Whole Latte

Hello again crafty friends and welcome back.  Today I’m featuring a card that I made with Hero Arts My Monthly Hero August Card Kit.  This kit is showcasing COFFEE!  I love this kit and if you have it, you can see why.  This is one of those kits that you can use all year round.  Just change a few elements and you will have a unique Christmas card, or a “just because” card.  The card I made today is a Thank You card.  Quick and easy.  Lets get started.

I stamped the images using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black.  I love this ink when I’m going to be doing some copic coloring.  I wanted my coffee to look like it was in a glass mug and the way the coffee would look as the milk is being mixed with the espresso.  I used E27, E25 and E23 and blended it out until I got the result I was looking for.  The dollop of foam was colored with W2, W0, W00.  

I wanted to add a little texture to my card so I used an embossed cardstock from DCWV.  I overlapped the mug to give additional dimension.  I added the hearts that came in the kit just to give it a pop of color and added the straw to the larger mug.  I stamped the sentiment on a small piece of cardstock and put it in a place that wouldn’t take away from the overall card. I attached it to some kraft cardstock and that’s it!  To tie everything together, I added a red envelope. That’s it!  A quick and easy card.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you back for another tutorial.
