Thanks A Whole Latte

Hello again crafty friends and welcome back.  Today I’m featuring a card that I made with Hero Arts My Monthly Hero August Card Kit.  This kit is showcasing COFFEE!  I love this kit and if you have it, you can see why.  This is one of those kits that you can use all year round.  Just change a few elements and you will have a unique Christmas card, or a “just because” card.  The card I made today is a Thank You card.  Quick and easy.  Lets get started.

I stamped the images using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black.  I love this ink when I’m going to be doing some copic coloring.  I wanted my coffee to look like it was in a glass mug and the way the coffee would look as the milk is being mixed with the espresso.  I used E27, E25 and E23 and blended it out until I got the result I was looking for.  The dollop of foam was colored with W2, W0, W00.

I wanted to add a little texture to my card so I used an embossed cardstock from DCWV.  I overlapped the mug to give additional dimension.  I added the hearts that came in the kit just to give it a pop of color and added the straw to the larger mug.  I stamped the sentiment on a small piece of cardstock and put it in a place that wouldn’t take away from the overall card. I attached it to some kraft cardstock and that’s it!  To tie everything together, I added a red envelope. That’s it!  A quick and easy card.  Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you back for another tutorial. Unfortunately this Tkit is sold.  Be sure to sign up to receive the monthly kits so you don’t miss out on the fun!
