Spooky

Hello friends and Happy Halloween. Other than my birthday, Halloween is my favorite time in October! Today’s card was so much fun to make. I used all of the “spooky” colors to create the best Halloween card. So lets get started.

Distress Inks are a MUST when you have a specific theme in mind. I used Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. Starting with the lightest color, I started blending the inks. Since theres a lot of colors, make sure to apply a small strip of color so you will be able to apply all the colors.

Once the inks were blended, I used SSS White Pigment Ink and added a little water to it. I used a paint brush to pick up some of the white ink and flicked it onto my card. I wanted to create a spooky night sky.
I stamped the mansion from the SSS Bwahaha stamp/die cut set. By doing that, it gave it a shiny look to the card. So I used SSS Clear Ink and I heat embossed it in SSS Ultrafine Black Embossing Powder.

I die cut the mansion along with the bats, gravestones and the moon. I used Squeeze Lemonade and Twisted Citron which made the perfect combination for a spooky full moon.
I cut out the hills using Lawn Fawn’s stitched hillside die cut for the hills. I assembled all the pieces to make this fun card. I finished it off by using white embossing powder and I heat set the SSS Handlettered Halloween “So Spooky” sentiment.
