With Sympathy

Hello hello crafty friends. Thanks for stopping by for another tutorial. Today I’ll be showing you how to make a sympathy card. Truth be told, these cards aren’t my fav to make, but we do need them regardless. So let’s get started.

On my A2 sized panel, I inks up SSS Wide Stripe Background Stamp with SSS Fog ink. I stamped it twice because I wanted the stripes to be solid in some places and blotchy in others.

Once I stamped my panel, I trimmed it down to clean up the edges from the stamp.

Next, I cut out SSS Sunflower Stem die approximately 4 times for dimension. I made sure one of the flowers wasn’t fully cut out so I can color it.

I used my Copics to color this flower. I chose not so cheerful colors but I still wanted it to be calming. So I used Copic colors C2, BG07 (for the flower petals) BG93, BG95 and a bit of YG03 (for the leaves)

After I finished coloring, I used my spray glue to attach all of the flowers on top of each other making sure I punched out all of the petals and leaves…only leaving the bottom colored flower showing.

I adhered my panel to an A2 card base and finished it off with some Little Lucy Ice Crystal Sequins. That’s it. A card to give someone that’s going through a difficult time.

Thank you for stopping by. The products I used to make my card and where I purchased them are listed below. All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping 🛍 Hope to see you next tine! 😘
