SSS More Spring Flowers

sldcreations 5

Hello hello crafty friends.  Thanks for coming back to another tutorial.  Today I will be sharing how I made a happy floral card with a little bit of snark on the side for a sentiment.  These days, we all need to  little giggle so you can make  this card to put a smile on someone’s face…so lets get started.

First I got the flower stamp from SSS More Spring Flowers stamp and coordinating die set inked it up using my tuxedo black memento ink.  I liked my image on Neenah Solar White 110lb smooth cardstock.  I stamped 2 flowers, 2 stems and 3 leaves.

Once I was done stamping, I grabbed my Copics started coloring my images.  The roses I used RV25, RV23 and RV03.  Starting with my darkest, medium color than the lightest. I wanted the tips of the petals to stay lighter to I made sure not to color the entire petal.  The leaves and stems I used G14, G09, and G07.

Once the coloring was done, I got the coordinating die and put it on my image and ran it through my Big Shot. then I set them aside.

I got an A2 size piece of cardstock which was SSS Ivory.  I inked up my SSS You Are background stamp using SSS Barely Beige and stamped the image on my panel.  I trimmed it down a little to get those clean edges.

Once I was done with that, I adhered my panel on top an A2 sized Neenah Desert Storm cardstock base.  I arranged my stems, and flowers on my panel..I used some foam tape for the bottom flower and adhered it on top of the stem.  I place the leaves on the stem popping up one leaf on the back leaf.  I used Time Holtz Snarky Small Stickers as my sentiment and used some foam tape as well and place it on my card.  I finished my card off with Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Confetti embellishments.

That’s it!  A pretty “funny” card bound to get a giggle.  Thanks for stopping by.  The products I used for this card and where I go them are listed below.  All you have to do is click on the image and go shopping.  See you next time!

xoxo
