SSS Etched Peony Blossom

Hello hello crafty friends.  Thanks for coming back for another tutorial.  Today I will be sharing how I made this super super easy card using 2 die cuts.  So lets get started.

I started by cutting out my SSS Etched Peony Blossom using Bristol Smooth watercolor cardstock.  I plan on using my Zig watercolor markers and that cardstock is the best when using those markers.  I used a shim to cut out this die because its intricate.

Once I cut out my flower, I grabbed my Zig markers and used Peach Pink at the center of the flowers and in other various areas for shadows, etc.  I used my watercolor brush and pulled the color away from the center of each petal.  I used Light Brown, Yellow and Orange for the center.

When I was done with that, I started to assemble my card.  I got an A2 size card base and a trimmed down piece of gold cardstock.  I used my Connect glue from Gina K to adhere it to my card base.  I got another trimmed down piece of white cardstock (neenah solar white 80lb) and created embossed lines using my Score Buddy.  I attached some foam adhesive to the back and adhered it to my gold panel.  I placed my flower in the middle of my card leaving enough room to put my sentiment.  I used SSS Thanks die and cut it in gold, using some more glue to the back of it and adhered it under my flower.  I finished my card off with some embellishments from Little Lucy.
