There’s also a free gift!!   Make sure you use the promo code when you check out.  It expires 8/9 at 11:59pm EDT…So let’s get started with my first card.

My first card I used SSS Cosmos Bloom and I ran it through my die cutting machine, using Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, and then I colored them using my copics. YR27, YR24, Y08, Y04. Once I finished coloring my blooms, I put them aside.

I started on my background so I grabbed some Simon Soft Navy cardstock. I treated it with my anti static tool. I grabbed my SSS Detail Petal Plate and lightly inked it up with my embossing ink. I carefully placed it on top of my cardstock panel and ran it through my die cutting machine. I used some SSS Gold embossing powder and heat set it with my heat gun.

Once I was done with my panel, I began to assemble my card. I used a piece of SSS Bright Yellow cardstock as my card base. I got my panel and used some foam adhesive on the back and adhered it to my card base. I also used some foam tape on the flowers and adhered them on my panel. I used a sentiment strip and finish it off with some embellishments from Simon. And that’s card #1.

My second card I used SSS Poppy Stem die and I ran it through my die cutting machine approx 4 times using Neenah solar white 110.

I got a very trimmed down panel and used my distress inks on it. I started ink blending Candied Apple then Worn Lipstick and finally Spun Sugar. I went back and forth with my ink blending sponges until its properly blended.

Once I was done ink blending, I adhered 2 of the flower dies to each other to a slight dimension. I used foam tape on the flower part of the die and glued the bottom to my panel. I used a sentiment from the sentiment strips and finished my card off with some icy embellishments from Lucy Cards.

That’s it! 2 fun and simple cards using products from Simon’s newest release Let’s Connect. I’ve listed all of the brand new items in the release below for your convenience.
