SSS Instagram Hop: Make Merry Release

sldcreations 1

Hello hello crafty friends. Today I will be sharing how I made my take on an ugly Christmas sweater using products from Simon Says Stamp latest release: Make Merry..so lets get started.

I started off by getting a trimmed down A2 size card panel. I got my SSS Chunky sweater background stamp and inked it up with embossing ink (make sure you used your anti static tool before you stamp your image.)..used some black embossing powder..pour it all over your panel to get the powder to attach to the inked image. Put the excess powder back into your container..and heat set it with you heating tool.

Once my embossing was complete, I going to use Copic markers to color my sweater. I used G29, G07 and G14 and began coloring my sweater.

After I colored my sweater, I put it to the side and started on my Santa. I got my SSS Santa Man die cut and cut out the Santa. I used SSS Lipstick Red for the hat and used Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock. I used my copics to color the beard: C5, C3 and C1. I used some black cardstock for the sentiment and heat set it in white embossing powder.

I assembled my Santa on my sweater panel, attached my sentiment, adhered it to my Neenah Solar White 80lb card base, and finished my card off by adding glossy accents to Santa’s glasses.

That’s it! Super easy right?!?! Thank you so much for stopping by. The products I used to for this project and where I purchased them are listed below.
