SSS Bursting Hearts Stencil

Hello hello crafty friends. Thank you for coming back to another tutorial. Today I will be sharing how I made this fun Valentine’s Day card using a witty sentiment. So let’s get started.
I started my project with an 8.5″x11″ sheet of Neenah Solar white 110lb cardstock. I sprayed my SSS Bursting Hearts stencil with some Pixie spray so that it can stay on my paper while I ink blend. We will be using Kitsch Flamingo, Festive Berries and a little bit of Picked Raspberries. The blending brushes are growing on me. My heart has always bee with the blending sponges since that is how I learned how to ink blend. So I used a medium size blending brush to apply a base layer. Then I used the smaller brush and started to apply the darker color ink (which ever color combo you decide to go with) and blend inward.
When the blending was complete, remove your stencil and wash off immediately. This might be the most difficult part of the project. You trim the sheet of cardstock wherever you would like to have a card panel. I was able to make 3 panels out of what I just made.
Get your trimmed down card panels and start to assemble your card. I used SSS Red Holograph cardstock and added it to my A2 size card base. Then I had applied some foam tape to my card panel and adhered it on top of the red cardstock. CZ Designs has super cute sentiments so I used her Reverse Love sentiment strips. I finished off my project with some embellishments.
That’s it. Easy, right!?!? The products I used for this card and where I purchased them are listed below. At no extra charge to you for using the list, you can click on them and go shopping. Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you next time and good luck! If you’d like to see other cards I’ve done using this technique, click here.
