SSS You Are Enough Rainbow Card on Black Cardstock

Hello hello crafty friends.  Thanks for stopping by.  Today I will be sharing how I made a fun Rainbow card using Alcohol Inks and  Simon Says Stamp products.  Let’s start.

I started off with some Tim Holtz black matte cardstock.  I added some of the following inks:  White Snowcap mixative so that the colors will show up against the black cardstock.    Then I applied the following inks: Watermelon, Honeycomb, Dandelion, Botanical, Glacier and Amethyst.  Let the ink dry on your paper.

When the ink is dried, add some alcohol solution to each color on at a time.  Use your air blower to move your ink around.  Make sure its dried before you go onto the next color.  I’m in no way an expert in using alcohol inks, I just found that this way worked for me.

While the panel is drying, use some black cardstock through your die cutting machine using the Beautiful sentiment .  Also, run the shadow die using some of the Yupo paper, so that it would look better vs it being white.  When the panel is completely dried use the A7 size die cut rectangle stitched frame.

Adhere the panel to an A7 size card base using some white  cardstock.    Add your sentiment to your panel and finish it off with some embellishments.

Not too hard, right?!?  The products I used for this card and where I purchased them are listed below. At no extra charge to you for using the list, you can click on them and go shopping. Thank you so much for stopping by and I’ll see you next time.

  1. Wow. I’ve not seen anyone let the inks dry before adding the blending solution. I’m definitely going to give it a try as this is exactly the look I have been trying to achieve (and not succeeding! 😆).
