SSS Champagne Flutes die cut Happy New Year

sldcreations 1

Hello hello crafty friends.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Today I will be sharing how I made this fun New Year’s  card that is super crafty and you can apply it to any occasion you have and the greatest thing of all, you can do all your shopping at Simon’s site!  so let’s get started, shall we?!?

I started with some Black Yupo cardstock.  Since I will be using my alcohol inks that’s the cardstock to use.   You want to make sure you put something on my craft table so that the alcohol ink wouldn’t stain anything.  Make sure you choose colors that when you use black Yupo cardstock it will show up with fixatives.  The ones I chose were silver and gold.  As I started to add drops of alcohol ink to my paper, I got my ink blowing tool and began to spread my inks around the cardstock.  Keep doing this until you get the design you’re looking for.

When it was time to cut out the other pieces of my projects, I grabbed my SSS Stitched Rectangle frame,  SSS Champagne Flutes  and the Happy die (and shadow) and ran each product through my Platinum 6 machine in the paper I chose.  (I’ll list what I used below)

It was time to assemble my projects  and so I did on an A2 size card base made with Neenah cardstock.  I adhered the Happy and champagne flutes using some foam adhesive.  Finished off my card with some Studio Katia clear embellishments.  (if you want additional inspiration on how to use alcohol inks, you should check out Jennifer McGuire’s YouTube

That’s it!  Pretty simple, right?!?  The products I used for this card and where I purchased them are listed below. At no extra charge to you for using the list, you can click on them and go shopping.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope I’ve inspired you to get creative and make something.  I hope to see you next time.  If you want more alcohol ink techniques and ideas, check out this card I made a few months back.
